Our first workshop will be making a FUN (and useful!) project: SCRUNCHIES
In order to rotate through all the stations, I am capping this workshop to 10 attendees, so sign up before I sell out!
In this hands-on workshop, you will:
WATCH me go through all the steps, right in front of your eyeballs, in real time
LEARN by asking questions during the process (any question is a good one, I promise!)
DO. That’s right - you’re going to make your own scrunchies with your own two hands
In fact, everyone who attends will be provided with enough materials to make TWO scrunchies - yeah!
Here’s what the $30 workshop fee covers:
2 hours of time together in the League City Chamber of Commerce Classroom
all materials needed to make 2 scrunchies (you’re also welcome to bring your own!)
a large cutting station to use for this project (24x36 mat, rotary blade, rulers, etc)
an ironing station to use (iron, ironing pad, wool ironing mat)
plenty of pins, clips, and other tools (both specialty items, as well as everyday items you can use if you’re just starting out)
a sewing station (my sewing machine, two colors of thread, and plenty of prewound bobbins)
snacks! (because who wants to work on an empty stomach?)
You will also leave with a folder that contains:
a set of written instructions (look ma - no need to take notes!)
a complete materials list
a list of local places in & around League City to buy fabric so you can get more right away (you know, in case you get hooked 😉).

I’ll have a variety of scrunchie sizes on hand to touch & feel, created in different fabrics so you can see firsthand what the end result could look like if you changed one variable (fabric type, width, etc).
